Dingle Drink & Draw 30th Nov

Posted: 30th November 2010 by Peter in artwork

Had a very productive drink and draw tonight in MacCarthy’s bar Dingle. One of our number was suffering from artist block so we agreed to do some 4 minute sketches to get the creative juices flowing. For each sketch we took turns of picking random or non-associated words to inspire the image. The results were creative and plenty of pictures were lashed out. Here’s most of mine from tonight, drawing with a biro type of pen.

Samurai Crocodile

Ice-pop and Octopus

Crisps and Teleport

Horse and Hairdryer

Girl and Music

The Secret Life Of Insects

Blind Drawing

We also decided to a little perceptional work, so we did these ‘blind drawings’ (just look at your subject, don’t take your marker off the page). This was a hit so will be doing more next week with compressed charcoal.
